Hearty


Hearty uses 3 yards plus 6 inches of yarn on 2 circular size 7 needles. 

Finished size is approximately 1 1/2" both side to side and top to bottom. 

Each one takes me 10 minutes from start to ends woven in. 

Cast on 30 stitches, 15 on each needle, using the longtail cast on onto 2 needles. 

1) knit 6, slip 2 stitches knitwise and together, knit next stitch, pass 2 slipped stitches over, knit 6, repeat across second side. 

2) knit across, repeat across second side. 

3) knit 1, knit 2 together twice, slip 2 stitches knitwise and together, knit next stitch, pass 2 slipped stitches over, knit 2 together twice, knit 1, repeat across second side. 

Cut yarn, leaving enough of a tail to pass through all 14 stitches remaining. Tuck the ends inside the heart and you are done. 

I actually weave my cast on yarn over to the tail left from passing through the stitches and tie them together before putting the ends inside the heart. Just pull the ends inside with either a crochet hook or needle.
