Border, Sand Stitch Variation

The Sand Stitch Variation creates an interesting look. My pattern, Sweethearts, Variation Two uses this stitch. It is a two row repeat.

Row 1) Knit all stitches 
Row 2) K1, p1, repeat across row.

Cast on 20 stitches with the yarn you have chosen for the petals leaving a 10” tail and purl one row.
